468 Land Warfare Operation

468 paintball gun

Real Action Paintball is proud to supply the devastating 468 to the most combat-effective land warfare players in paintball - the players who accomplish missions behind the lines, under fire, and against the clock. Players like AC Tactical, who recently put the 468 through its paces at Operation: End War...to tremendous effect.

To thrive in mil-sim paintball, players need to employ teamwork, hone their marksmanship, and utilize real military close quarters battle tactics - a level of realism that demands the most authentic gear possible. Our lead designer joined us from the firearms industry specifically to create the most authentic paintball-dedicated gun ever designed, so that players can deploy into their missions with a primary marker so authentic that even the manual of arms is the same.

That marker is the magazine-fed, highly customizable 468. Its balance, natural point of aim, and ergonomics perfectly replicate an M4 carbine. The controls reproduce the M4 carbine. The aesthetics, from the birdcage flash hider (among other muzzle accessories) to the collapsible stock, exactly reproduce the M4. And since it doesn't use a hopper, there is almost no way to tell the difference between your 468 and a duty-issue M4...

...until it starts shooting paintballs at the opposing forces as fast as you can pull the trigger.

Each 468 is built from a receiver milled from solid aircraft-grade aluminum billet, which is then outfitted with a magwell that accepts detachable magazines, and your choice of barrels and collapsible stocks. RAP4's complete line of stocks includes mil-spec collapsible stocks, stocks that conceal onboard air sources, and many more, so that you can equip your 468 to exactly reproduce your duty-issue carbine...or create a mission-adapted 468 that will thrive in your tactical environment.

RAP4's line of tactical handguards includes quad rails, mil-spec hardware, and custom tactical options that you can specify to create a truly unique 468...or exactly reproduce your favorite M4/M16 configuration.

When you need to adapt it from one mission to the next, you can easily swap the entire upper receiver - barrel and everything - for one you customized to suit a different tactical environment. You can make that swap in seconds...just like on a duty-issue M4.

Go from a close quarters battle optimized M4, to a sniping platform. Then change your 468 to a night-ops carbine...each transformation happening in seconds, just like operators make to their carbines.

The 468 makes it happen...and makes it easy to dominate mil-sim paintball, whatever your mission requires.

468 Thrown From A Building

468 paintball gun

RAP4 is proud to offer you the 468, the toughest and most realistic marker we’ve ever made...and we’re eager to prove its durability to you. To show how tough we build the 468, we’ve submitted one to a battery of grueling tests that take real world abuse and kick it up a few notches. Afraid of your marker getting shot with paintballs? We shot one with a 12 gauge shotgun...and it worked fine. Afraid of the rain or snow messing with your marker? We completely submerge the 468, and it came out of the water firing just fine.

Afraid of knocking your marker around on an urban course? What would you do if you tripped and fell full-weight on your marker? If you shoot a 468, you would line up the sights and pull the trigger and a ball would zip downrange to eliminate your opponent...like nothing bad ever happened.

That’s because we use machined metal components, mil-spec polymers, and industry-leading designs to ensure that each 468 can survive the rigors of the toughest force-on-force training and scenario paintball combat.

That shows a 468 being thrown from the top of an industrial building, and landing on rocks. Our lead designer, Omar, then inserts a loaded magazine and fires every round with good-as-new accuracy. The power source hidden in the stock was unharmed by the drop; the rugged internals were just fine, and the external parts endured their abuse with no loss of function...

...and with minimal surface wear.

We are proud to say the 468 is the most durable marker we’ve ever made, and these videos do a lot to prove just what we mean. We call them the most realistic, too, because of their innovative design. Lead designer Omar Macy came to us from the firearms industry, and created a true next-generation arm that disassembles, cocks, points, balances, and looks, exactly like the real thing.

You can remove the upper receiver on the 468 in seconds by pushing out two body retaining pins...just like on a duty-issue M4. You can then swap on a different mission-adapted upper receiver and respond to changing battle conditions in seconds!

The 468 points, balances, and handles just like an M4...which is part of why police departments and military groups are buying them for use in force-on-force training where they want to exactly reproduce the experience of their personnel deploying with their duty-issue arms.

And you can bring this level of realism to your next paintball game when you go afield with a 468. So go ahead - play hard. Put it through the most intense season of paintball you’ve ever played, and let the 468 earn its spot as your go-to gun.

468 Buried In Dirt

Real Action Paintball is proud to show you the new 468 in action, and surviving some serious torture tests. The RAP4 research and development team designed the 468 to reproduce the exact ergonomics, feel, and looks, of the M4/M16 family of battle rifles. One of their design goals was to create a new paintball marker that could survive many of the challenges, and torture tests, that military-issue battle rifles are tested with. Many of our high-end customers represent elite military training units and police tactical instructors who field RAP4 products because they replicate the experience of training with M4/M16 rifles, while allowing safe force-on-force training.

Want to see the dynamic new 468 in action? We took to a dusty, tough, urban close quarter battle -inspired field to put several 468s through their paces. The result is this video, which clearly shows the 468's role in dramatic combat maneuvers.

When soldiers train with RAP4 markers, they train like they're going to fight: with the same controls, point of aim, reloading protocol, sights, and ergonomics of their battle rifles. When players take our 468 into scenario games, they pack the most realistic mag-fed paintball markers on the market...and they have absolute confidence in their durability.

That comes from the markers surviving Omar Macy's (our lead engineer) sadistic torture tests. He trusts the reliability of the 468 even when, as its engineer, all eyes are on him at the field...and he pulls the trigger with confidence because he built the 468 to survive being completely submerged; being thrown off a building; being hurled from a speeding vehicle, then driven over.

And being buried in dirt.

Why would Omar test the 468 this brutally? Because being submerged in water and buried in dirt are classic tests of a military rifle's reliability. Bury a rifle, then uncover it, shake it a little, and pull the trigger. What happens next is very telling.

We'll ruin the surprise: the 468 works just fine.

If you don't have that kind of confidence in your marker, it's time to upgrade to the 468.

When you do, you'll hold in your hands the most realistic mil-sim paintball marker yet designed...and you'll be able to customize it with real mil-spec accessories, parts, and sights. You'll be able to swap the entire upper receiver in less than fifteen seconds by removing two receiver pins and swapping in the upper receiver that better fits your next mission.

And you'll have absolute confidence that the 468 will be ready when you are...every time.

Less-Lethal SmartRounds and Launchers

Real Action Paintball "RAP" is proud to announce our dynamic partnership with SmartRounds Technology "SRT" to bring law enforcement, security, and military operators a wide range of new 685i less-lethal projectiles, ready to be launched from the SR-468, the industry's newest compressed-air-powered launcher. The SmartRounds 685i projectiles and SR-468 launcher - both are proudly made in U.S.A. will offer a complete less-lethal launcher and force-on-force training solution.

SmartRounds Technology is a company dedicated to innovative research in less- lethal munitions, and shortly will release their revolutionary SmartRounds 685i projectiles, the world's first less-lethal smart bullets. These projectiles include a micro-sensor that arms the projectile when it is fired, then activates it in milliseconds when the projectile impacts its target. The payloads vary between specific 685i projectiles, and include dynamic solutions to incapacitating aggressors without the danger and liability of using lethal firearm ammunition.

The payload used in the 685i ShockRound version uses liquefied compressed gas, released rapidly at the very moment of impact, to create a shockwave that knocks out an assailant's senses and takes them immediately out of the fight. These rounds, and others, are in the final stages of testing and will be coming soon to the market.

Real Action Paintball is the recognized leader in the innovation of compressed-air-powered arms that replicates the ergonomics, controls, and point of aim of duty-issue M4 carbines. The new Real Action Paintball SR-468 is a magazine-fed, .68 caliber, variable velocity, semi-automatic arm designed to deploy the 685i. The dynamic partnership with SRT is designed to pair this industry-leading arm with the revolutionary SmartRounds 685i projectiles to create the ultimate less-lethal solution for law enforcement, security personnel, and military operators.

SmartRounds projectiles are encapsulated in an aerodynamically designed, bullet-shaped projectile with a biodegradable shell. Spin-stabilized, they achieve range and accuracy far superior to spherical less-lethal munitions. They fit perfectly into the d-shaped Dmag magazines designed for the SR-468, enabling users to make fast reloads or switch easily between different projectiles.

For force-on-force training with the same ergonomics, controls, and natural point of aim as duty-issue M4-pattern firearms, SRT and RAP offer the dynamic combination of SmartRounds training rounds and the SR-468 launcher. This same launcher can shoot 685i rounds interchangeably with our d-shaped 680 inert marking rounds, enabling agencies to train in less-lethal weapon use and engage in force-on-force training with their same SR-468 launcher and inexpensive SmartRounds 680 training rounds.

The SR-468 launcher and 685i projectiles are due out in April, so keep watching the headlines for breaking news about this exciting new technology, and how Real Action Paintball and SmartRounds Technology are working to bring it to police departments, security companies, and military units around the world.

For more information on both the SR-468 launcher and 685i smart projectiles visit www.rap4.com and www.smartrounds.com.

SR-468 launcher and 685i are available for purchase in Spring 2013

468 Amphibious Operations

Real Action Paintball builds the industry's toughest, most realistic mil-sim markers...and we're proud to show you how realistic and durable they are with our new series of 468 torture tests. We've sent a 468 into action strapped to the chest of an airborne operator, thrown them from a moving car to be run over repeatedly, and even blasted a 468 with a 12 gauge shotgun. The 468 took all of that abuse, and proved combat-effective every step of the way.

But how would a 468 handle amphibious operations?

We designed the magazine-fed 468 to replicate the look, feel, ergonomics, and operation of a military-issue M4 carbine, and made sure that we built them tough enough to survive the rigors of hostile real-world environments. Sometimes, that includes an amphibious insertion where the M4 - or 468 - is completely submerged...then expected to come up firing.

Our amphibious operators completely submerged their 468s, crossed a span of open water, and emerged in fighting condition with intact rounds bursting from the muzzle of the lead operator's 468. We used plastic-shelled paint impervious to water...and a standard 468. Watch as the marker sprays water from the muzzle brake, and from the chamber, where it can safely vent to protect the round inside as the bolt closes and the compressed air from the onboard HPA tank propels it through the Recon Rifled Barrel.

RAP4 wants our paintball players, military trainers, and law enforcement tactical officers, to train like they're going to fight - with markers that exactly reproduce their duty-issue M4s, and thrive despite the rigors of real-world training for real-world operations. That's why we built the 468 to be tough enough to withstand being shot by a 12 gauge shotgun; being thrown from a moving car, then run over; being buried in sand and dirt, shaken off, and immediately fired. We put the 468 through these insane torture tests so you can confidently train like you're going to fight!
